Girls' Empowerment Matters GEM, Inc.
was founded in March of 2017 in response to specific needs of girls from The Bronx.
OUR MISSION
To provide a safe space for girls to confidently pilot healthy, happy, and fulfilling lives.
We implement quality STEAM, social justice, and mentoring programs to directly respond to the unique issues Bronx girls face.
OUR VISION
Building a society where every girl can easily realize her potential and achieve her goals.
We believe that providing a girl with a nurturing environment is essential to her overall development. Today’s Gems are tomorrow’s leaders, and through personalized attention and guidance we are essentially providing them with all the resources they need to thrive as leaders.

We believe in and practice the true act of caring and know how important it is to demonstrate a sincere concern for others.
We provide unique, life-changing experiences to all of the community’s young minds. We hold compassion, generosity, and kindness close to our hearts, and go the extra mile to provide our youth with a wide range of opportunities that will allow them to reach their potential.
